SMS Opt-In Policy

How Arise Transit collects consent and sends reservation notifications

How We Collect Consent

When customers request a quote on our DFW Airport Rides page, they voluntarily provide their phone number in the contact field.

By submitting the form with a phone number, customers automatically opt-in to receive transactional SMS notifications related to their reservation. This constitutes "prior express consent" as defined by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) for transactional messages.

Example: When you enter your phone number and submit a quote request, you'll see this disclosure:

"By providing your phone number, you'll receive a text with your reservation link. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."

What Messages We Send

We send transactional SMS only - messages directly related to your reservation:

  • Reservation completion links - Sent immediately after you submit a quote request, containing a secure link to complete your booking
  • Booking confirmations - Sent after payment is completed to confirm your reservation
  • Service updates - Critical updates about your upcoming trip (driver arrival, flight delays, etc.)

We never send marketing messages. All SMS are strictly transactional and directly related to your reservation.

Message Frequency

Customers typically receive 1-2 messages per reservation request:

  1. Initial message with reservation completion link (sent immediately)
  2. Confirmation message after booking is completed (if applicable)

Message & data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can unsubscribe from SMS notifications at any time:

Reply STOP

Text "STOP" to any message from Arise Transit to immediately unsubscribe

Reply HELP

Text "HELP" for customer support information

After opting out, you'll receive one final confirmation message, then no further SMS. You can still receive email notifications about your reservation.

TCPA Compliance

Arise Transit complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations regarding SMS communications.

  • We only send transactional messages to customers who have provided prior express consent
  • Consent is obtained when customers voluntarily provide their phone number for a reservation
  • All messages include clear opt-out instructions
  • We honor opt-out requests within 10 business days as required by law
  • No marketing messages are sent via SMS

Legal Basis: TCPA permits transactional SMS (messages related to an ongoing transaction) with prior express consent, which is established when a customer voluntarily provides their phone number to receive service-related communications.
